COLONEL KEVIN C. KRAUSE

Colonel Kevin C. Krause is Commander
of the 5th Combat Communications
Group. The group is comprised of one
support squadron and four deployment-ready squadrons. He directs the
mobilization and deployment of Airmen,communications and computer
systems, and air traffic control equipment to enable combatant commanders,
joint task forces and Air Force component headquarters operations.
Colonel Krause is originally from
Iowa. He received his commission from the US Air Force Academy in 1989
and began his career in acquisition as an electrical engineer. Following
a tour at Wright Patterson AFB, he performed duties as a non-rated aircrew
mission commander with the EC-135 Advanced Range Instrumentation
Aircraft. In 1997, Colonel Krause became a communications officer with
the 3rd Combat Communications Group. Prior to joining the Joint Staff J6,
he was a student at the National War College at Fort Leslie J. McNair,
Washington, D.C. He is married to the
former Mikki Edwards of Edmond, OK. He
has a daughter, Kaley, and a stepson, Chase.
